Out and About - Tasmanian Style!

It was great being able to do day trips to get a feel of the place - especially the area south of Hobart.  Having to collect various family members from the airport at various times, meant there were 2 trips to Mount Wellington and an increasing familiarity with Hobart's central shopping district.  Last minute Christmas shopping and all....

The mighty Huon River...always travelled alongside this waterway in our comings and goings.

The views of Hobart from Mount Wellington were pretty impressive, but man was it a lot colder then we expected.

At times the cold was just too much for Elise...

Then she would just perk up again!

the terrain up at the top of Mount Wellington was well, pretty rocky!

Afterwards, it was off to one of the best coffee places in Hobart, in which you will find the best decorated toilet!

Then throw in Santa on his motorbike!

Time to pick up Shayna from the airport - then a stop at the port in Hobart when we spied a rather large boat.  That rope was simply way too tempting for some people...

and of course, after that it was time for another coffee (with food)

Fast forward to some sheep place called the Grandvewe Sheep Cheesery for, yes, you guessed - more coffee.

The added bonus was Andrew making the coffees for us!

Apples and Huonville are synonymous, so it was a definite stop at the Apple Shed - no coffee here though.

And back in Hobart it was shopping time (with food!)
